Leslie Clisby, RMT
Leslie Clisby has been treating patients in downtown Courtenay since
2011 and joined Arbutus Therapeutic Collective in 2023. She is eager to
share her experience and understanding of the human body with her
patients to help return them to play or work, by bringing their body
back into alignment and balance.
Leslie became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2005, after graduating
from the three year diploma program at the Okanagan Valley College of
Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC. This intense training added to the
foundation of relaxation massage that Leslie was already delivering to
the fine hotels and film sets of the Lower Mainland since 1999. Post
graduate training in the field of sport medicine and visceral
manipulation added to the depth of treatments available. She spent three
years travelling with a number of Rugby Canada teams as well as
different sporting events and tournaments. Leslie spent a summer working with a strengthening and conditioning training camp for NHL, WHL, AHL hockey athletes in North Vancouver to supplement the work she was doing with a Junior A hockey team. Besides hockey and rugby, Leslie also takes care of cyclists, triathletes, snowboarders, skiers,
skateboarders, dancers, gymnasts, golfers, artists, musicians as well as
the general public looking to increase their level of fitness or
maintain what they have.
