Kim Nguyen, RMT
Kim was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C before moving to Nelson where she graduated from the RMT program at Kootenay Columbia College with over 3000 hours of training and education.
Kim has almost a decade of experience working as a legal assistant in various law firms in Vancouver. For most of her legal career, she worked specifically with individuals who were injured through motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls as well as workplace injuries. From her time as a legal assistant, she was able to understand the ins and outs of ICBC claims, WCB claims and how to best assist clients in navigating the legal processes as their bodies recovered from injury. Kim took an interest in massage therapy when she saw how important it was as a means in helping her clients. She was also inspired by the relief she felt whenever she saw her own RMT to relieve the aches and pains that came with having a desk job. As her passion for being a legal assistant began to dwindle, she decided to take on a more hands-on approach in helping her clients and enrolled in the RMT program. Best decision ever!
Kim's style of massage includes a variety of techniques such as myofascial release, deep tissue massage, Swedish techniques, trigger point release, active and passive stretches. Kim looks forward to treating her client's conditions as much as she enjoys giving a relaxation massage as she believes anyone can benefit from a massage, injured or not.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys being outdoors (especially in the summer), camping, hiking and swimming in lakes. She loves to learn about different cultures and try different foods by traveling when she can. Her favourite time of the day is the quiet morning when she can enjoy a cup of coffee before conquering the day.
